Welcome to the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Children's Services Procedures Manual

Welcome to the latest on-line version of Cambridgeshire County Council’s (CCC) and Peterborough City Council’s (PCC) Children’s Services Procedure Manual. You will note that CCC and PCC have a new combined Welcome page. Each authority continues to have their own separate Procedure Manual that are now accessed via this combined Welcome page. There have been some amendments to CCC’s procedures. PCC’s procedures are unchanged.

These procedures are designed to support front line practitioners and managers with the development of good practice and play an important role in ensuring the quality and timeliness of our work in achieving best outcomes for children and their families. They are updated regularly to reflect national and local changes to legislation, policy and practice.

Together with the Portal for Cambridgeshire and Insite for Peterborough, these procedures provide a best practice framework to support all workers within your roles. For this to be effective, it is important that you access these regularly and stay keep an eye on the ….. news … for any updates.

If you have any concern that following the requirements of a particular procedure might not be in the interests of a particular child, please discuss this immediately with your line manager to agree a way forward.

Please familiarise yourself with all our procedures in order to maintain the most up-to-date standards of practice.
