2.2.1 Introduction |
This section outlines the circumstances of children who may be particularly vulnerable to Significant Harm and indicates measures that should be in place to safeguard and promote their welfare. Its purpose is to provide information to assist professionals and the public to recognise concerns requiring referral to Children Social Work Services (Kent)/Children’s Social Care Services (Medway) or Police.
Additional procedures apply where indicated and cross-references to the appropriate section are provided.
If a referral is made to Children Social Work Services (Kent)/Children’s Social Care Services (Medway), the procedures in, Referrals, Child and Family Assessment and Child Protection (Section 47) Enquiries of this manual should be followed.
