Child in Need of Additional Services

A referral to Social Services is not required unless a Child in Need is also in need of protection or additional services. Below is not an exhaustive list, but highlights common situations where a referral to Social Services should be considered. In such instances, a child may be at risk of Significant Harm from abuse or neglect or may have a high level of need for additional services, for example:
