1. About the Online Procedures

Barnsley Safeguarding Children Partnership work with tri.x to produce and maintain these online procedures.

The contents have been arranged with the Core Procedures in the most prominent place. The Core Procedures set out the actions that must be taken when there are concerns about the welfare of a child.

The site also contains a range of Safeguarding Practice Guides which cover issues including Female Genital Mutilation, Forced Marriage, Trafficking and Domestic Abuse. The practice guides summarise the key indicators of concern which all practitioners should be able to recognise, and provide advice on the most appropriate professional response.

2. Amendments

The procedures will be reviewed and updated on a regular basis; a summary of the changes can be accessed via the 'Amendments' button on the home page.

The next scheduled amendments to the Barnsley Safeguarding Children Partnership Policies and Procedures will 'go live' in April 2023.
