1. Responsibilities:

  1. To ensure that the LSCB meets the requirements of Working Together to Safeguard Children 2006 to establish a Child Death Overview Panel.
  2. To ensure CDOP fulfils its Terms of Reference
  3. To chair bi-monthly meetings of the CDOP.
  4. To agree the agenda and minutes with the CDOP Co-ordinator and Administrator.
  5. To ensure appropriate child deaths or groups of deaths are identified for consideration by the Panel in line with the agreed criteria.
  6. To assist in resolving any professional difficulties, which the Coordinator has been unable to.
  7. To represent CDOP at local and regional events.
  8. To raise any health/public health concerns regarding individual deaths/pattern of deaths in a timely manner with LSCB.
  9. To agree Annual Report and present to WSCB


2. Accountability:

  1. To be accountable to the Chair of WSCB
