Reporting Concerns

If you are concerned about a child's welfare or worried they are being abused, you can make a referral to Children's Safeguarding on 0191 520 5560 (available 8.30am to 5.15pm Monday - Thursday, 8.30am to 4.45pm Friday) or the Out of Hours Team on 0191 520 5552 (also available 24 hours Saturday and Sunday.

The Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) can be contacted on 0191 520 5560.

Safeguarding Adults

If you are concerned about the safety and welfare of an adult please go to www.sunderland.gov.uk to report your concern.

The Interagency Referral Form can also be used to share information with your local office. NB: You must send the referral form to the contact details listed on the front page and not to the SSCB.
